About Alberto Pibiri

Alberto Pibiri is a New York-based Italian jazz pianist and composer with a background in classical music. He has collaborated with many renowned jazz musicians in the New York jazz scene, and has performed at major New York jazz venues such as Smalls, Mezzrow, Blue Note, and the renowned Carnegie Hall.  Alberto has recorded numerous albums as a bandleader and sideman and performed at various festivals in the US and internationally. While actively engaged in the jazz scene as a performer, Alberto earned a Master’s Degree in Jazz Performance from Queens College. He is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Orchestration and Film Scoring.  After 12 years of living and performing in the States, Alberto became a US citizen for his contributions to music.

About Melanie Marod

Melanie was born and raised in Spring Lake, Michigan where she began singing and expressing her love for music at the age of seven. By age ten, she had performed in the musical Sweeney Todd with Tony Award Winner George Hearn and Tony Nominee Pamela Meyer. Melanie graduated Cum Laude from Hope College with a B.A. in Musical Theatre.  She studied Opera in Buenos Aires, Argentina at Instituto Universitario Nacional de Las Artes and Hillsong College in Sydney, Australia. 

Since moving to New York she has performed at Birdland, The Blue Note, The Oak Room at The Plaza Hotel, The Carlton, as well as many other noteworthy clubs in the city. She sang on the soundtrack and appeared as a wedding singer in the movie “God’s Behaving Badly” with Christopher Walken and Sharon Stone.
