MCP, also known as Miranda Contreras-Peterson, is a songwriter, instrumentalist, and artist originally from Dallas, Texas. Her influences are the classic female jazz singers- Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, etc. She was a vocalist with the Philadelphia Jazz Orchestra, performing throughout Italy and at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland.
